Ever since people have been able to create new characters for the upcoming release of WoW: Classic, one thing has been obvious: Everyone wants to play on the same servers. Not everyone can, and it’s causing a bit of problem as players address this problem on a recent forum post from Blizzard. What makes things worse is that even though Realms get marked as full, people are still making characters there.

The expected populations are going to lead to either failed attempts to get into the queue for the server, or extremely long waits if you do, possibly of several hours. To address the problem, Blizzard is encouraging people to move from Realms such as Herod, Faerlina and Whiteman to less populated ones such as Blaumeux, and Skeram. The developers have also warned people that even on those extremely lower populated servers, or servers marked as Medium population, can expect queue times.

WoW: Classic is something many members of the community have been asking for a while now. It was created to give people an old-school experience. Everything in the game is the same when World of Warcraft initially launched in 2004, with none of the updates or changes that the game has received since then.

Anyone with an active World of Warcraft subscription can set up a WoW: Classic character and join in the fun. WoW: Classic releases on Aug. 27.
