Remember when Alien: Isolation was announced for Nintendo Switch? The survival horror game was shown off in a sizzle reel during Nintendo’s Direct for E3 2019. We haven’t heard too much about it since, leaving some fans wondering if the port is still happening. Welp, it turns out it is, and there’s some new footage as proof.

Sega, working alongside the port team at Feral Interactive, debuted just under a minute of new footage from the port. But it looks pretty solid thus far, about on the level as other versions that have been released.

It starts with some cinematics, hinting at an alien presence that’s haunting several crew members on a remote ship. But following that, we get a glimpse at actual gameplay on the Switch, complete with some great lighting and atmospheric effects. As any fan will tell you, these are crucial to a game like Isolation, as they want to feel the absolute fear of being hunted by one of these space creatures.

But perhaps the biggest surprise about the port is that Sega still has a release period of 2019 in mind. It says this during the trailer’s conclusion, indicating that it’s not too far away. Around Halloween time would have been ideal, but we’ll certainly take it after getting stuffed on Thanksgiving or before Christmas.

We’ll let you know as soon as Sega has a more solid release date for the game. In the meantime, check out the new footage below. And remember, in space, no one can hear you scream.
