Hideo Kojima Won’t Tell Us If Death Stranding Is Releasing On PC

You might remember that, back in the very early days of the reveal, Hideo Kojima said that Death Stranding was also dropping on PC alongside PlayStation 4.

Since then PC has never been mentioned again, and lots of things changed like Sony involvement in the development of the game.

In the meantime, the title has fallen under the umbrella of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, which means Sony is funding the building of it.

On top of that, the company even allowed Horizon: Zero Dawn developer Guerrilla Games to share with Kojima its engine, Decima, in order to make the process a lot faster.

Under these scenarios, it seems a bit hard that Kojima Productions could be released, even in the very distant future, Death Stranding on PC.

Anyway, someone at Tribeca Film Festival asked the game designer and director whether this could be happening, and as you might’ve expected that turned into more teasing.

Kojima didn’t provide the interviewer with any answer at all on the topic, which is weird if you consider that it was simple to say that the game is a PS4 exclusive and put an end to that kind of expectations.

Of course, one condition was required to provide that answer, that Death Stranding is a PlayStation 4 exclusive which could not be.

The game doesn’t have a release date nor window yet, so it’s a bit too early to ponder about the possibility of a timed exclusive like it has happened with Quantic Dream’s last three games (Detroit: Become Human included).

A lot of additional info was shared about DS during the same Tribeca Film Festival panel, so you should look into it for more details.
