EA and DICE have finally made Battlefield V official, and revealed the first information about the first person shooter game which is releasing on October 19 (October 11 for EA and Origin Access members, and 16 October for pre-orders).

Battlefield V Information - Fortnite Like Features, No Premium Pass

Among the most interesting new things included in the title we have Combined Arms, a co-op mode for 4 players. The new mode will put emphasis on cooperative gameplay, as you’ll need a medic to fully replenish your health bar, and you’ll have a Fortnite-style tool to fortify areas and slow enemies down.

On top of this, the War Stories single-player campaign is making a comeback from Battlefield 1 and will focus on the less explored sceneries from the World War II, such as Norway, Netherlands, and other “unseen, untold and unplayed.”

Operations are returning, too, but spanned over the course of four “days”, matches, and deployed on multiple sides of a map, with different objectives, rather than simply on the same map.

Also, you’ll be given the opportunity to choose your gender, something that’s already sparked a lot of controversial comments from the community which is dubbing the title as unrealistic in regards of the real World War II environment.

Customization will be a focus, with a dedicated “Company” feature that will allow you to change basically every aspect of your character classes before starting the online matches.

Battlefield V will revolve around the concept of Tides of War, seasons for the game, which won’t be coming with a premium pass but will make all the additional content free to everyone in the likes of maps and modes. Micro-transactions will only be tied to cosmetics and won’t feature loot boxes.
