An ocean delight.

Sea Ganoderma is a resource that was added to Genshin Impact in Version 1.6. After only existing inside a temporary event, it has found a permanent home in the Japanese-inspired realm called Inazuma. Farming Sea Ganoderma is important because this material is essential for leveling up heroes and ascending them. This guide will explain where to farm Sea Ganoderma in Genshin Impact.

Where to find Sea Ganoderma locations in Genshin Impact

The in-game description for Sea Ganoderma is “A plant species that only grows in certain regions and islands of the ocean.” It resembles a big blue flower, but it’s an organism that exists in the shallow coastal waters across Inazumas scattered islands. This is what it looks like below.

Like all plants in Genshin Impact, Sea Ganoderma will respawn two days after you pick it, so once you learn an excellent farming route, you must wait two days before you can return and gather more. Certain Inazuma characters can see these rare materials highlighted on the minimap, so take advantage of Gorou to make finding them more manageable.

All Sea Ganoderma locations in Genshin Impact

These locations are the islands that make up Inazuma, and each one contains several batches of Sea Ganoderma to find and collect. Remember, after collecting them, you must wait 48 hours before they respawn at these respective locations. You will need these materials to ascend characters like Kazuha.

Narukami Island

Along the island’s coast, you can find some growing to the south of Inazuma city. This is the first location in Inazuma, and we suggest you start farming this item as soon as you get here.

Serai Island

This location is home to several Sea Ganoderma. However, it is locked behind late-game story quests, so we suggest starting at other locations before venturing here.

Kannazuka and Yashiori Islands

This region is by far the largest one in Inazuma, and as such, it has the most amount of this rare ascension material to find. The northeast corner of these islands is ripe for farming, as you can gather two dozen in a tight location.

Watatsumi Islands

This island is located to the far west of the region and is home to very powerful enemies. We suggest using other islands for farming this material unless you want to deal with the tough enemies here.

Tsurumi Island

This island is located to the far south and doesn’t have much Sea Ganoderma considering how big this island is.

Make sure to learn these different islands and guarantee enough Sea Ganoderma to level up some of the best five-star characters Genshin Impact offers.
