Final Fantasy VII Remake, while an excellent reimaging of the original game, is filled with partially explained mechanics. Manuscripts fall neatly into that category, so in the guide, we will tell you everything that we know about them, and how they can help you.

Manuscripts are character-specific items that will grant 10 SP that you can use to upgrade the character’s weapon. Manuscripts can be bought from Moogie in the Sector 5 slums at the kid’s secret hideout, for five Moogle Medals each. You can find Moogle Medals by smashing open crates, and opening chests, in the game various levels and areas.

Way of the Fist Vol. 15
Telluric Scriptures Vol. 15

There are more Manuscripts that you can get in the game but from a different place. In Wall Market, you will find the Corneo Colosseum, and when it is unlocked, you can take part in challenges there. Some of the challenges are individual ones for Cloud, Tifa, Barret, and Aerith, and finishing them will get you a new manuscript for that character that will teach them a new Limit Break.

If you wish to get more Manuscripts, then you will need to play the game on Hard Mode. Boss, quests, and side quests will reward you with Manuscripts in Hard Mode, allowing you to level up your weapon even more.

To unlock Hard Mode, you must first beat the game on Normal difficulty. When you beat the game once, you can then replay chapters and select Hard Mode if you wish, allowing you to try and farm the Manuscripts.
