When will the Shared Horizons update release for Kerbal Space Program?
More missions, rockets, and equipment are coming to Kerbal Space Program this summer.

Kerbal Space Program gives you the chance to explore the stars by acting the director of the planet’s space program. You decide what ships to make, how to progress forward, and what type of missions to embark on for your space program.
To help you progress further into the cold abyss, there’s the Shared Horizons update, which developer Private Division is creating in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) to honor the space agency’s legacy. The update will add additional content to the game, such as the Ariane 5 rocket, new stages, engines, giving players the chance to create hybrid instruments, and two cornerstone ESA-based missions and a spacesuit for your Kerbals to wear. One of the missions revolves around the ongoing one where the ESA is working with the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency to explore Mercury.
This update will launch on July 1 for PC players.
Unfortunately, console players do not have an exact release date for this update, but it will arrive in the future. It will hopefully arrive before the imminent Kerbal Space Program 2 game releases, the sequel to the original game, initially announced during August 2019. The sequel will release late 2020, or early 2021. The sequel was delayed from its original release date of March 2020.
Kerbal Space Program players will not need to pay for this the Shared Horizons update. However, Shared Horizons does require the purchase of the base game.
