After getting its first teaser trailer in 2021, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 managed to fly (or swing) under the radar for over a year with few updates or details. Nevertheless, the sequel has still gotten its fair share of excitement, especially after the enthusiastic reception of 2018’s Spider-Man and its short-but-sweet follow-up Spider-Man: Miles Morales. After waiting so long for updates, though, we finally have some confirmation about when we’ll see the next installment in the franchise.

What is the release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

While we’re still waiting on an exact date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s arrival, we do at least have a confirmed release window from PlayStation.

The Official PlayStation Twitter account in December 2022 announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release sometime in Fall 2023. This announcement arrived on the heels of a statement in October 2022 from developer Insomniac Games that the game was still on schedule for a 2023 release, which helped to quell some concerns that the game might be delayed after a long period without any updates or presentations.

In March 2023, Venom voice actor Tony Todd tweeted that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is expected to release in September 2023. He also added that Insomniac Games and PlayStation have planned massive publicity for the game, which kicks off in August 2023.
