World of Warcraft Classic arrives this week, and it gives players a chance to re-experience World of Warcraft as it once was. People are excited about it, even though the game includes none of the improvements, extra content, increased level caps, or anything else added to the game over the years. WoW: Classic returns players to when it initially launched, and we’re going to tell you when it goes live.

What Time Will WoW: Classic Go Live?

World of Warcraft Classic goes live on Aug. 26, at 3 pm PT/6 pm ET. So, that means in America, the UK, and most of Europe, it releases on Aug. 26. For Eastern Europe, Asia, and Australia, it comes out Aug. 27.

Blizzard has warned of extremely long queue times to enter the busier realms, and only very long queue times to enter the less busy ones. They have brought new servers online to help deal with the flood of players, but everyone should expect delays.

Anybody with an active World of Warcraft subscription can play WoW: Classic. All you need to do is set up a character on the new Classic servers. There is no additional cost for access to this particular journey backward through time. You can only create one character at the moment, but after launch, everyone can create a maximum of 10 characters per realm, and a total of 50 characters across all realms in your region.

For those eagerly awaiting the jump into the game, you can follow the WoW Classic Countdown to know the exact time the game unlocks. Everyone is going to try and jump in at the same time, so make sure you have a book nearby or a back-up game you can fire up while you wait.
