Darksiders: Genesis is due to release on Dec. 5. It’s an interesting title, mixing Diablo’s shoot and loot style with the Darksiders franchise. The top-down hack and slash adventure features two horsemen, War and Strife, the latter being brand new to the series. While the game serves as a prequel to the entire franchise, players will learn about events before the first Darksiders game and what led to it.

Darksiders: Genesis is set to release for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Google Stadia and Steam. However, the game will first come to the PC on Dec. 5. If you planned to play it on your console with a friend, you have to wait until Feb. 14, 2020, to jump into the game.

The game will remain close to its roots, though, with players having to solve fun puzzles and take part in engaging high-octane boss battles. Because Darksiders: Genesis features two Horsemen, players can work together with a friend to make their way through the game by playing online or by sharing a screen.

While console players have to wait until early 2020 to play the game, it may give the developers, Airship Syndicate, who worked on Battle Chasers: Nightwar, time to optimize the game’s platform for consoles. It’s better to ensure everything happens and works out first before shipping it.

PC players still have time to pre-order the game for Steam or Google Stadia if they haven’t already. The game should release at 10am PST.

For those on a console, you can pre-order your copy for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at multiple storefronts.
