The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is available on PC via the Epic Games Store and will be released for PlayStation 5 on December 5th with both a physical and digital version. You might have noticed. I didn’t mention Xbox there, and that’s because it’s not released for the Xbox family of consoles yet and will instead be coming in early 2024.

There isn’t any word on whether the game will be coming to Steam in the future, though much like other titles, we can see this being the case once the exclusivity deal has run its course. It also helps that the game is not published by Epic’s publishing branch, meaning there are no hang-ups or chances they could stop this from happening.

For those unaware of the recently released title, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is a survival crafting game that takes place in the Fourth Age of Middle Earth following the events of Lord of the Rings. The game sees players create their dwarven character and, alongside Gimli, embark on a quest to reclaim the Mines of Moria, a great dwarven city previously taken over by Orcs and inhabited by an ancient evil called a Balrog.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria can be played alone or with friends, allowing fans to explore procedurally generated versions of the mines and kingdom. It offers plenty to find, discover, battle, and craft as you make your way into Moria and reclaim your dwarven home.
