Druid has – without a doubt – been the most dominant class in Hearthstone throughout 2018. Multiple archetypes have run riot since The Witchwood launched, but now Rastakhan’s Rumble has released, is Druid still king? It’s yet to be seen as we’re still only just over a week into the current meta, but here are three of the top Hearthstone Rastakhan Druid decks for December 2018.

MalyGonk Druid – Standard (Gyong_HS)

Maylgos Druid has been a popular variant of the deck for some time, but this deck makes use of one Rastakhan’s Rumble legendary: Gonk, the Raptor. “After your hero attacks and kills a minion, it may attack again,” reads the 7-cost 4/9 beast minion. The goal is to win by either out-valuing your opponent by building up your armor and constantly attacking their minions, or by dropping Malygos and playing double Moonfire on their face. Pounce – the only other new card from Rastakhan’s Rumble – is a 0-cost spell that helps the former, along with cards like Twig of the World Tree for the semi-permanent +1 attack.

Treant Token Druid – Standard (TurnaHS)

Rastakhan’s Rumble has given Druid a few cards that help the deck play and evolve multiple treants. The most important is Treespeaker, which transforms all of your 2/2 treants into 5/5 ancients. Combine that with the power of Landscaping, Soul of the Forest, and Force of Nature and you can easily develop huge board states which can be buffed by cards like Branching Paths, Savage Roar and Cenarius.

Aggro Druid – Wild (RenoJackson_HS)

Aggro Druid has been one of the most prominent decks for years, and it’s got very slightly stronger in Wild with Rastakhan’s Rumble. The new Druid legendary – Wardruid Loti – offers some versatile options, while Shieldbreaker enables a cheap way to bypass taunt minions. The playstyle for this deck hasn’t changed one bit: play minions, make favorable trades, then go face. If your board gets cleared, play even more minions and keep going face.
