Helping Jack and Joe

If you choose to negotiate with Jack and Joe rather than outright fighting them, you can learn more about Barney’s involvement with Lucas, the murdered Peacekeepers commander. The Peacekeepers have been trying to discover who killed their commander and have widely blamed the Bazaar survivors for his murder but have no evidence. Directly speaking with Jack and Joe and learning about Barney’s involvement puts a critical puzzle piece into place to give you the correct direction of where to go next. After that, you’ll have the option to assist Jack and Joe to get them out of the city.

If you agree, you’ll need to honor your bargain and eventually help them slip out of the city because everyone will be trying to find them.

Not helping Jack and Joe

By not helping Jack and Joe, you condemn them to find their way out of the city without your help. You might still be able to learn about Barney’s involvement with Lucas, but forcing Jack and Joe on their own lowers their odds of survival.

Helping out Jack and Joe is likely the best option between the two choices. While it has you assisting them in the future to fend for themselves, they provide you helpful information about Barney, putting you on the positive side of the Peacekeepers in the city.
