Who are Ambrella, the developers behind Pokémon Rumble Rush?

The Pokémon Company just launched a brand new mobile game based around the Pokémon Rumble games known as Pokémon Rumble Dash in Australia and Japan for Android users, much to the delight of its fans.
The game, developed by Ambrella, is a free-to-play mobile game, is the fifth entry in the Rumble franchise and is the first game to appear on smartphones. But who is the company behind such an adorable game?
Ambrella, or 株式会社アムブレラ (Kabushiki-gaisha Ambrella) as the company is called in its Native Japan, is a video game company that is a subsidiary of Nintendo. The company was formerly a part of Marigul Management, which is a joint owned corporation between Nintendo and Recruit.
The company first ventured into Pokémon with the N64 release of Hey You, Pikachu in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 and the company has continuously worked on Pokemon spin-offs every since.

The company has a long-standing history with the Rumble series, so it should come as no surprise that many of the core features and looks are still available in the mobile title. This game is also the company’s first mobile game after mainly working on Nintendo consoles for the past two decades.
