Planet Zoo is not out yet, but you’re going to get a chance to check it out for yourself for those of you who need to try it out before purchasing the game. Unfortunately, there’s a distinct way of getting access to the beta. Not everyone is going to have access to it from the get-go. Here’s how you go about getting access to the Planet Zoo beta.

How to Get Into the Planet Zoo Beta

There’s only one sure-fire way to gaining access to the game’s beta: you need to pre-order the game’s Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition is a step above the standard pre-order option, and players are going to receive access to the beta, three exclusive animals when the game goes live, the soundtrack, and select wallpapers.

Players are going to need to pay $54.99 to pre-order the Deluxe Edition. If you play Planet Zoo beta, and you don’t like the game, you can feel free to cancel your order and not get the game before it releases. There would be no shame if the beta made you think this way. The developers may prefer players to get an idea of what they’re getting into, rather than a customer give them mediocre reviews or lousy publicity because it wasn’t what someone paid to play.

Luckily, you’re going to get plenty of time to try out the game. The Planet Zoo beta starts together, and it’s going to go until Oct. 8, 5 pm BST. You can purchase the Deluxe Edition at any time throughout the beta’s lifetime to jump in and start playing. You don’t have to have pre-ordered before the timeline, only before it goes down.

There are a handful of issues the developers already know about in the game. They have a list of these issues on their main FAQ forums, which you can read here. For those of you interested in getting the Deluxe Edition beta, check it out here to pre-order your copy. Download the available beta in Steam’s launcher, and check it out.

Remember, you need to pre-order the Deluxe Edition to get into the beta, not the standard edition of Planet Zoo.
