So let’s get started without wasting any time.
Metro Exodus is the third installment in the Metro video game franchise based on the Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. The game was released on February 15, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It received “generally favorable” reviews from the critics and fans. However, the launch was not as smooth as it looks on paper, just a few weeks before the launch of the game, 4A, and Deep Silver announced that the PC version of the game would be available exclusively via Epic Game Store (for ONE YEAR) and the game’s sale was discontinued on Steam immediately after this announcement. Deep Silver cited Epic Games Store’s favorable revenue split as the reason behind moving away from Steam. The decision was expected to impact the overall sales of the game but nothing of that sort happened and if reports are to believe the game’s sale performance better than expected.
