One thing you can do is set your game graphic settings to medium and test it. Try to keep it low and use the one that is working smoothly without any bug or problem. If you are having high-end hardware then try to test between medium-high settings. It is not necessary you have to keep high all the time if there are bugs. Another important thing you will have to do is play the game in full-screen mode only, avoid playing it a window or borderless mode. This can cause performance issues.

How to turn off V-sync?

In Kingdom Come Deliverance v-sync is turned on by default, and there are no settings in the game to turn it off. This can be done manually. In coming time the developers can add some patch to fix the issue. Till the time being, you can try out the below settings. By turning this feature off you can resolve issues like micro-stutter, game freeze or fps drop.

  • Create a text file and save it with name User.cfg. You can use notepad or notepad++ for this.
  • Type r_vysnc = 0. Save the file and copy it to the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance.

You can also work on the fps through the same User.cfg file. You have to add sys_MaxFPS = 60. You can also add higher but you will require monitors with higher refresh rate. Like you can try out 120 or 144, but do check your monitor settings.

Heapsize RAM allocation to fix Low FPS

If the game is not able to utilize the RAM properly you can add the heap size in the launch option to allocate more ram to the game. This can be done easily you can read our guide To Fix Low FPS Issue In Kingdom Come Deliverance Use This Launch Command for this. Allocating higher heap size depending on the amount of RAM you have you can boost the fps of the game and get better performance.

How to increase FOV (Field of View)?

You can increase the field of view in the game to get more visibility. You can get it beyond 75 through simple settings. For this, you will have to use the in-game console. Press the tilde key from the keyboard and type cl_fov XX. XX is the value you have to use like 75 or higher and hit enter.

How To Gain More FPS Performance?

You can gain some more performance through CPU affinity. For that first launch the game. And then press Ctrl + Alt + Del. Click on Task Manager, and go in Performance. You will see different CPU blocks under CPU Usage History. Look for one that is taking 100% usage. Now go in Processes and right click on the game exe file. Click on Set Affinity remove the tick from the CPU that is used maximum and click on OK. Then once again right click on the same game exe > CPU affinity. Add the tick back and return to the game. You can get a performance boost through this step.

You can try turning off background applications for better output, in case of any major error game developers will release new updates in coming time. Till then you can try out the above solutions.
