Is Gardevoir good in Pokémon Go?

Is Gardevoir worth your time?

When you want to evolve Raltz into its final form in Pokémon Go, you have two choices, Gallade and Gardevoir. These two are fairly similar, and they have different strengths of weaknesses. If you want to battle Dragon, Ghost, or Fighting-type Pokémon, you want to use Gardevoir. We’ve listed out Gardevoir’s best moveset, but what makes it good?

Gardevoir is a Fairy and Psychic-type Pokémon. It’s weak against Ghost, Poison, and Steel-type moves, but it’s resistant against Dragon, Fighting, and Psychic-type attacks. For PvP, it has a maximum CP of 3,093, an attack of 199, a defense of 165, and a stamina of 145. For PvE, it has an attack of 237, a defense of 195, and a stamina of 169. It faces the same difficulties as Gallade, where you want to be careful about using it due to its low defense and stamina stats. It has a high attack power, making it the tip of a spear in a Pokémon team.

For the PvP Battle League you want to use in the Master League. It will be instrumental in taking down powerful Dragons, such as Palkia, Zekrom, Dragonite, Garchomp, Latios, Giratina, a Ghost-type, or even Gyarados. If you use Gardevoir too quickly, it’ll be eaten alive by most Pokémon of this caliber. But if you’re careful with it and use it carefully against all matchups, you’ll be able to dominate on your team.

The big downside is how careful you have to be with your team. You want to make sure your team’s biggest weakness is the Dragon and Ghost-types, and then stick Gardevoir in it. Because of how it is primarily an attacker on a team, we highly recommend using the shadow version of Gardevoir. It’ll lower the Pokémon’s defense, but the increased attack stat is worth the exchange.

The same goes for PvE against legendary Pokémon. You only want to use it in specific battles, and recklessly using it in any battle means you’ll end up with it fainting and having to revive it.

The original Gardevoir is good, but the shadow version of Gardevoir is even better. You want to use it in PvP to smash through an enemy team’s shields, and only at specific moments. Do not use Gardevoir as your first Pokémon. You want to keep it in reserve for as long as possible.
