The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 content includes many new contents to sort through. During matches on Fortune’s Keep, a group of mercenaries will occasionally show up and perform a Cash Extraction. This public event happens multiple times during a match, signified by a golden circle appearing on the map and a flare showing up in the sky.

When this happens, NPC mercenaries will gather at the indicated location, dumping their money and loot into a black and gold bag while they wait for a helicopter to come and pull the money away. Players who want to get their hands on that loot will need to take down the mercenaries first, who appear in waves to keep the pressure up.

How to win the Cash Extraction event in Call of Duty: Warzone

The Cash Extraction event has three potential outcomes, depending on how players approach it.

Players loot all the money

This is the outcome that most players will be looking to achieve. They can only get to the money safely once the mercenaries are taken care of, but be aware that you don’t have to be the one who kills the NPCs to take their loot. It is a viable strategy to wait for other players to expend their resources taking out the mercs only to swoop in at the end and take the spoils, so be aware.

The helicopter is destroyed

Another end condition for the Cash Extraction in Call of Duty: Warzone is to destroy the helicopter taking the money away. This will immediately end the event, preventing other players from getting the loot. This is a solid move for players who are more interested in keeping other players from getting the loot than keeping it for themselves.

The mercenaries get away

If players take too long to get the money from the cash bag, then the helicopter will get away, taking the loot with it. Any items or cash still in the bag when the helicopter takes off are lost to the players.

When any of these states are achieved, the map immediately returns to normal until the next Cash Extraction event. These will happen multiple times each round, so you’ll have plenty of chances to earn those extra rewards.
