One of the more hilarious changes introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is that you can now use a fishing pole to ride a shark around on the water. I am not sure that Fortnite has ever had a better way to travel.

The first thing you will need to do is head to an area with a potential Loot Shark. These can be found in named locations such as Sweaty Sands, the Fortilla, and others. They will spawn randomly when players are in the area and can be found pretty much anywhere there is water, which is most of the map right now.

You will also need to grab a fishing pole, which is a random spawn in most areas near water as well. Once you have the pole, track down the shark you want to ride, then use the fishing pole to catch it. The sharks will mostly move pretty slowly unless they are chasing something, so just aim the pole at the shark and let fly.

The shark should snatch up the bait in its mouth, but if you miss, you can simply try again. As soon as the shark has it in its mouth, you will be dragged along behind it on some skis and able to control where you go. It is a fun way to travel, there is no doubt about it.

The only bad news is that you are quite exposed to fire from enemies when you are traveling this way, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for threats.
