No matter which season you are playing in, there are three methods of unlocking the Crossbow. For one, players can complete its dedicated weapon challenge by getting 50 longshot kills using marksman rifles in either the multiplayer or battle royale. You can also track how close you are to achieving this milestone by simply going to the Crossbow in the Loadouts menu and finding the progress bar underneath it. However, a faster method for owning the weapon is by picking it up in any of DMZ’s locations and reaching an exfil point on the map.

As completing the challenges will be a grind, those wanting to instantly earn the Crossbow can currently purchase its dedicated Tracker Pack: Ballistic Love bundle in the in-game store for 2,400 COD Points. It features nine different cosmetics, including the Lovemaker Crossbow. This weapon blueprint dawns a sweet five preset attachments as well as pink bullet tracers.

The Crossbow is considered one of the strongest stealth weapons in both games. Those wielding the tool will come to find that firing its arrows is a completely silent process, and these arrows are even undetectable by trophy systems. Additionally, this is not the only weapon from Season 2 with a unique advantage. An ISO Hemlock assault rifle has debuted with two different compatible sets of ammo, with it being able to shoot both the 5.56 and .300 BLK ammo types.
