How to start River Raids in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

You and your crew can earn plenty of loot.

The February update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Yule Season has arrived, the River Raids. These raids feature highly replayable content for players to loot plenty of new silver and gear from untouched regions in England. You can expect to run through these locations quite often, and thankfully you don’t have to wander too far to get these raids started. This content is free for all Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players.

Once you’ve downloaded the update for River Raids, 1.12, you’ll receive a quest you can follow in your log called A River to Raid. You’ll have to return to your settlement to welcome some new arrivals who have shown up at Ravensthorpe, and this will take you through the start of how this activity works. Upon starting the quest, you’ll unlock the new building called the River Raiding Dock. You’ll be able to upgrade the dock to strengthen your longship, and trade with the person running the dock, Vagn.

The new individual running the dock, Vagn, will be your contact for all of these River Raid missions. They’ll be standing outside this new dock, and you can speak to them whenever you’re ready to undergo a raid. You’ll receive a notification about how River Raids are more challenging than standard ones found in Valhalla, but there are more rewards. You can repeat this content as often as you’d like, and if you die during these raids, you lose all of the rewards you earned while working through an attack.
