How to make a Smithing Table in Minecraft’s Nether Update

The Smithing Table is a handy crafting station you can create in Minecraft following the Nether Update. You will need this if you want to turn your diamond gear into netherite gear. Alternatively, you might be able to find one available for you to use within one of the villages, but by crafting it, you will be able to take it with you and place it wherever you want.
You will require two different ingredients for this project: two iron ingots and four of any planks. The Smithing Table does not need the four planks to match in any way. You only need to have four of them. Once you have these six ingredients, you can create your new Smithing Table at a crafting table to create it, and then you can upgrade your diamond equipment into the brand new netherite gear. All of the tools retain the same enchantments and durability of the original item.
The netherite items are far more durable and robust than the diamond ones. For example, a netherite sword could fall into the lava and float there without being damaged for you to grab again. You can make these netherite tools at the Smithing Table:
