How to get the Udder Buddy in The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos

Forced co-op.

The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos is chock full of new things for players to explore and acquire. Some of the most exciting are the three new Science weapons. One of these is called the Udder Buddy, a melee weapon that pulls your enemies together. It’s a handy tool to have when you’re mopping up baddies, and it’s not hard to find if you know where to look.

How to find the Lost Little Milkmech quest

The first step to getting the Udder Buddy is finding its corresponding quest. When you’re on the main quest to visit the Prophet of Profitability, you’ll come across a merchant building called Legal Hunting Supplies. There, you’ll find a young woman named Mildred Lenox looking for her lost milkmech. Accept that quest, and you’ll be tasked with finding the mech and bringing it home.

Follow your quest marker to the clearing behind the building, and you’ll find the milkmech amongst some Canids. Once you deal with the beasts, the milkmech will start to walk back to its owner. Thankfully, you don’t have to wait on it and can just run back to Mildred.

Mildred doesn’t just give away the Udder Buddy for nothing. Completing the quest gives you some hard-earned bits, but if you want the melee weapon, you’ll need to use some good old-fashioned intimidation. You’ll need an intimidation rating of 45 or higher, and then the Udder Buddy is yours.

While we haven’t found the Udder Buddy to be the most devastating of Science weapons, it’s fun to use. Seeing all of your enemies fly across the battlefield is a blast.
