There’s a new weapon you can find in Remnant: From the Ashes’ DLC Subject 2923. You need to do a little bit of digging, and if you don’t encounter it during your first playthrough, don’t worry about it. As long as you do some backtracking and investigate various locations in a particular order, you should be good.

Find the Servant Gate Key

The first thing you need to do is visit the Deepfrost Expanse to locate a dungeon called the Watcher’s Hollow dungeon. Run through the entire area until you reach the end. You should see a glowing red item inside of a hut called the Servant Gate key. To the right of the shelter is a shortcut you can take to return to the start. However, turn to your right, and you should see a locked door. Use the Servant Gate key to open it to find various servant rats all huddled together. Eliminate the rats until an item called Creeper’s Pepper drops. It should go into your inventory. You can then leave the dungeon to continue your journey.

Rat Statue

You now need to venture further into the Deepfrost Expanse until you encounter a rat statue. The statue should be holding a large ax in its left hand, its right is holding a stone and has one green eye. The Creeper’s Pepper is the missing eye. Interact with the statue to place the eye inside it, and you unlock a secret passageway behind it. We were able to find both the Watcher’s Hollow dungeon and rat statue in our first playthrough, but it may take you a few times to spawn in an adventure.

Go behind the statue to venture into the new passageway you’ve uncovered. The Twin Shot bow will be on the table at the back of the secret passage. It takes up your handgun slot.
