How to get the Redrix Broadsword

First up, visit Shaxx at the Tower and grab the “Forging the Broadsword” quest from him. It is a multiple part quest that will require you to spend a lot of time in the Crucible, so get ready to go toe-to-toe with your fellow Guardians.

Step 1 – Orientation

Defeat 200 opponents with Pulse Rifles. If you have access to the Cold Denial, it is a great option to use for this step.

Step 2 – The Shape of Things to Come

Reach Valor rank Heroic. You can earn Valor in the Quickplay, Rumble, and Mayhem playlists.

Step 3 – The Candidate

Get 75 Double Play medals in Crucible. To get these, you need to kill two players in quick succession.

Step 4 – Dead Is Dead

Defeat 150 opponents with Pulse Rifle precision final blows. Once again, the Cold Denial is your friend here.

Step 5 – Further Instructions

Get 50 kills with Arc, Solar, and Void in Crucible. These just need to be relevant final blows from weapons or abilities.

Step 6 – This Place Is Death

Complete 25 Control, Survival, and Rumble matches. You just need to complete them, not win them.

Step 7 – The Constant

Complete 20 Crucible daily bounties. You can get bounties from Shaxx in the Tower.

Step 8 – The Beginning of the End

Reset your Valor rank. When hit max Valor rank in the Crucible, you can hover over the Crucible symbol in Destinations, you should see a prompt giving you a button to push to reset your rank.
