If you want to build your Netrunner character in Cyberpunk 2077 that can hack its way out of any situation, you’ll be needing the necessary power to juice up your quick hack skills. For that, you need lots of RAM units, which otherwise takes painstakingly long to recover once you have used them in any combat situation.

Cyberpunk 2077 does so little to explain these little tidbits that can indirectly hinder your progress towards building a good Netrunner character, or in worse situations, rob the fun out of the game. Fortunately, we got all the details on how to get you more RAM units that you can spend on those wide arrays of quickhacks available.

First things first, your cyberdeck RAM capacity will increase every time you spend a skill point in the Intelligence attribute. However, that process is slow and won’t drastically increase your Base RAM units. Meanwhile, you can also invest in the skill WEAK LINK in the Intelligence attribute that reduces the RAM unit(s) required for quickhacks by one.

For this, you need to replace your Operating System Cyberware from one of the many RipperDoc scattered across Night City. The one we went to is in the Kabuki District. You can either get the BIOTECH Σ MK.2 (Rare), which costs EuroDollars 15000, increases the base RAM size by 7, provides 4 slots for quick hacks, and even increases cyberdeck RAM recovery rate by 9 units per 60 seconds.

Other options include STEPHENSON TECH MK.2( Rare) that also costs EuroDollars 15000, but instead increases base RAM by 6 units while providing additional perks such as the 30% reduced quickhacks cooldown rate. Every attribute is essential so choose wisely.

If you have more cash to spend and have 14 Street Cred, you can also get the Legendary RAVEN MICROCYBER MK.4 that increases the base RAM size by 10, while providing 6 slots and additional perks such as 100% increased time for a netrunner enemy to hack you.
