Frost is a powerful defensive Warframe that can handle some of the toughest missions in the game. In this guide we show you how to get him.

Warframe has a couple of Frames that will excel at Defensive missions, but none can do the job better than Frost. Mixing great defensive abilities with his large dome shield that he can place anywhere he wants, he also has strong crowd control, and plenty of damage to back it all up. He is also quite tough, bringing plenty of armor, shields, and health for himself.

How To Get Frost (2019)

You can get Frost’s components from the Exta node on Ceres. This is an Assassination mission where you will need to take on both Lieutenant Lich Kril and Captain Vor. You will have fought both of them before individually, but in this mission, they have decided to team up to take out the Tenno.

I prefer just to take out Vor first, as Lich is a little more awkward to kill. Captain Vor’s shields are weak to Magnetic damage, while his Alloy Armor is weak to Radiation damage. Just hammer away at him and do as much damage as you can. He will appear and reappear from time to time, just like in your previous fights with him. Once he is dead, turn your attention to Lich Kril.

Remember, you need to shoot the coolant tank on Kril’s back to disconnect the tubes, and this will cause Kril to freeze himself the next time he performs a slam attack. Once this is done, you can damage the tank on his back. Do enough damage to the tank, and it will destroy a tube. Take out all four tubes, and you can damage Kril himself.

You will need to farm this fight until you get the Chassis, Neuroptics, and Systems blueprints. You can buy Frost’s main blueprint from the market for 25,000 Credits.

How To Build Frost

Like all Warframes, you build Frost in your Foundry when you have all his components. You will need all three components to be fully built to make the Warframe. You will also need an extra Orokin Cell to build it.

Neuroptics

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 150 Alloy Plate
  • 1 Neural Sensors
  • 150 Polymer Bundle
  • 500 Rubedo

Chassis

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 1 Morphics
  • 1000 Ferrite
  • 300 Rubedo

Systems

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 1 Control Module
  • 1 Morphics
  • 500 Salvage
  • 500 Plastids

Each component will take 12 hours to build, but this build time can be skipped for 25 Platinum. The Warframe itself will take 72 hours to build, and can be skipped for 50 Platinum. I advise just being patient and saving your Platinum for more important things. And that’s it. Once the build is done, you will be able to equip Frost and begin leveling it up and finding a build you want to use.
