You must defeat the Darth Vader NPC and loot the lightsaber off him. For Chapter 3 Season 3, Darth Vader will be appearing at random locations on your Fortnite map. He will be spawning alongside a pair of Stormtroopers with E-11 Blaster Rifles, which are Star Wars weapons you can loot and use during your game.

When you start a game, a Lambda shuttle will appear behind the Battle Bus and slowly float to the map. Wherever this shuttle lands, Darth Vader will disembark from this location, and you will need to take him down. He has a heavy shield protecting him, a lot of health, and the power of the force at his disposal. Darth Vader will throw you around using the force, block bullets using his saber, and take down anyone aggressive towards him.

We recommend taking down Darth Vader with a group, or you can choose to wait until other players fight against him before attempting to grab the lightsaber weapon. Upon defeating Darth Vader, he will drop his lightsaber, and you can use it for the rest of the game.
