How to Evolve Pokémon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX

Evolution is a big theme in the Pokémon series and returns in Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX on Nintendo Switch. But how do you evolve either your two main partners or members of your team?

Before we get into it, just throwing out a general spoiler warning. We will be talking about all of the game’s story as well as the final boss fight, so don’t read on if you want to find out how to evolve your Pokémon.

With that out of the way. Let us begin.

First and foremost, there is no way to actually evolve your Pokémon until you beat Rayquazza and complete the main game. So you won’t be able to evolve anything or any mon for a good few hours.

After you complete the main story and the credits roll, you will then need to reload your save file and watch a few cutscenes that play, alerting you to Snubbull’s changed form.

You then need to go into the Great Plaza and head up to where Whishcash is, another cutscene will play and you’ll unlock a cave which will let you evolve your team members.

Some will require to be at specific levels to evolve, while others might need certain items like Evolution Stones. Evolving a Pokémon is final, so be sure to evolve the Pokémon whenever you want.
