The darkness is a haven for the infected in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, and remaining in the lights is your top priority. However, when you want some of the best supplies and resources, you will need to investigate many homes and abandoned locations usually full of infected. On your way back, you risk entering a chase with infected running after you. This guide covers how to end chases in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

The chases in Dying Light 2 are displayed on the bottom of your screen. These typically trigger because you wandered too close to a Howler, and they summoned other infected to them, making you a primary target that you won’t be able to shake.

When a chase is happening, your top and only priority is to make it to the location on your map with UV lighting. On your compass at the top of the screen, you’ll see bright purple icons indicating any safe zone you can visit to find UV lights. So long as you enter these zones and remain in them, the chases will end.

The longer the chase lasts, the more difficult it is to outrun the horde behind you. The horde can quickly overwhelm you, especially if it corners you. Only focus on finding a series of UV lights, and protect yourself as much as possible.
