How to do all A Spooky Message Unmasked tasks and rewards in Pokémon Go

The end of October is approaching, and the ghosts continue to prowl the night. In Pokémon Go, you’ll have an exclusive chance to encounter various Ghost-type Pokémon you previously couldn’t find on October 25 from 8 AM to 10 PM in your local time. You can expect to see Yamask and its Galarian form haunting the streets of your neighborhood during the Catch Mastery: Ghost-type event. Alongside Yamask spawns, there will be ways for you to acquire Mega Gengar energy from exclusive field research tasks and a new timed research called A Spooky Message Unmasked.

A Spooky Message Unmasked will have several tasks you need to complete before the end of the event, so you have a little over 12 hours to finish all of them. These tasks will give you access to a Spiritomb, another exclusive Pokémon.

All A Spooky Message Unmasked tasks and rewards

As of right now, all of the tasks and rewards for A Spooky Message Unmasked have not been released yet, but when they become available, we’ll make sure to post them here for everyone to see.

Task 1

• Catch 30 Ghost-type Pokémon – Duskull encounter
• Transfer 4 Pokémon – 340 Stardust
• Catch 34 Pokémon – 340 XP

Rewards: Yamask encounter, 3 Pinap Berry, 4 Razz Berry

Task 2

• Catch 10 Dark-type Pokémon – Sableye Encounter (Litwick costume)
• Make 8 Nice Throws – 10 Poké Balls
• Catch 108 Pokémon – 1080 XP

Rewards: Spiritomb encounter, 10 Hyper Potion, 8 Great balls

Task 3

• Catch 40 Ghost-type Pokémon – Litwick encounter
• Make 9 Great Throws – 490 Stardust
• Catch 108 Pokémon – 490 XP

Rewards: Galarian Yamask encounter, 44 Silver Pinap Berry, 9 Golden Razz Berry

Task 4

• Claim Reward – 3,400 XP
• Claim Reward – 1,080 XP
• Claim Reward – 4,900 XP

Rewards: 4 Yamask Candy, 9 Yamask Candy, 4,900 Stardust
