How to decode Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2

Season of The Chosen has begun in Destiny 2, and bringing back Umbral Engrams. This rather odd-looking Engram is covered with some black residue. You can’t open these at the Cryptarc, and instead will be relying on the the Umbral Decoder to do the job for you.
Umbral Engrams can be decoded in the Umbral Decoder in the H.E.L.M, Destiny 2’s new area for coordinating Guardians efforts during Season of the Chosen. You can also change the Umbral Engrams, which is what makes them so attractive to players. Their loot tables can be focused in the Prismatic Recaster which can also be found in the H.E.L.M.
To Decode Umbral Engrams, players will need to play through the following quests:
After this, they will have full access to the Umbral Decoder and the Prismatic Recaster, allowing them to be decode and focus Umbral Engrams. Players can then visit the H.E.L.M at any time and decode their Umbral Emgrams or focus them towards specific rewards if they wish.
Umbrals Engrams can be earned by taking part in many activities in the game. They can be earned from Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, Patrols, The Ordeal, Public Events, Blind Well, Exo Challenges, Nightmare Hunts, Empire Hunts, and other activities. They are not as common here as they were when they were first introduced to the game.
Battlegrounds will be the main source of Umbral Engrams for most players, as they can be rewarded for smashing a Tribute Chest at the end of the activity.
