How to Complete the Week 3 Ascendant Challenge in Destiny 2: Forsaken

Destiny 2: Forsaken brings us a new Ascendant Challenge each week. In this guide, we will show you how to complete the Week 3 Ascendant Challenge. The bounty can be picked up from Petra in the Dreaming City and challenges you to achieve a specific task. To do this bounty, you will also need a Tincture of Queensfoil. If you don’t have any at the moment, consult our guide on how to get Tincture of Queensfoil.
The Spine of Keres
This weeks challenge is located at the Spine of Keres. Double check that you have your Tincture, then head for the Dreaming City. When you spawn in, head towards the place where you usually take the offering to the Queen. Make your way back through the area, as if you were running the mission to get to the Dreaming City in reverse. You need to run all the way back to the start. Once you have taken your Tincture, you will easily be able to see the portal, once you get there.
Week 3 Ascendant Challenge
This week’s challenge is interesting and is something that most people should be able to run solo. After you enter the portal, you will find yourself in a large room filled with columns of rock. You need to climb upwards. Be careful, as the place is filled with Taken in the form of mines and snipers. Once you reach the top, you will have to fight a lot of enemies, including a very powerful Taken boss. Destroy them, and the challenge is complete.
It is a good idea to bring a Sniper Rifle, or a Scout Rifle this week, to safely take out the enemies as you work your way up. If you die at any time, you’ll respawn outside the giant portal. Simply hop back in and keep going.
