In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, catching fish is a bit tricky. You can’t use a fishing rod for catching fish, since the game doesn’t allow you to do that. Instead, you need to use your weapons to kill fish. The best way to catch fish is by using your bow and arrow.
Go to the place where you intend to catch fish and all you need to do is look for bubbles in the water. That indicates that there is a fish in that area. Point your bow to the area and you will see the aiming reticle turn red. Simply shoot and if you see a damage number pop up on the screen, that indicates that you have killed a fish.
Once a fish is killed, it will float on the water. You need to swim towards it to and you will get the option to collect it. That might sound a bit too hectic at first, but the game is actually pretty lenient with the aim when you are trying to shoot a fish, and you don’t have to shoot it precisely, which does it make a tad easier.
