How to best farm golden walnuts on Ginger Island in Stardew Valley

You'll be looking around for a lot of these.

A large resource you’ll spend a lot of time on Ginger Island in Stardew Valley is searching for golden walnuts. You’ll use these to advance through the island, unlocking the new sections by giving them to the parrots that appear on stands. Many of the parrots will ask for five, 10, or even 20 of these walnuts. Obtaining can take quite a bit of time, and there are several methods to how you can go about claiming them.

However, there are a finite number of them over the island. If you stop collecting them from a particular source, you’ll need to move on to the next activity. You’ll be able to collect them from fishing, digging up particular portions of the island, raiding the chests in the volcano, and by completing small activities and puzzles all over Ginger Island.

If you’re looking for a good way to start, progressing through the volcano and fishing on the shores of the island are probably your best bet. Both of them are things you can do at the start, and are pretty easy.

From there, start completing tasks for the various NPCs inhabiting the island, and working with them. Birdie, Professor Snail, and Leo can provide you with golden walnuts. These are typically a bit longer tasks, so you may want to wait to do them later, or try them out immediately.
