Nidus, the incurable, attacks his enemies like a disease. Virulence sends a path of sickness towards his enemies, while Larva drags multiple enemies into one small area, making them ripe for damage. Parasitic Link binds Nidus to a target, increasing his power and funneling any damage he takes into them. Ravenous spawns a swarm of maggots that heal allies and damage enemies. Nidus can also mutate, building power over time and charging his passive, Undying. Once you learn how to use him, Nidus is incredibly fun and powerful.

To get Nidus’ main blueprint, you need to finish The Glast Gambit quest. You need to have The War Within completed, and can then speak to Ergo Glast at The Perrin Sequence room on any relay. The Glast Gambit is a pretty straightforward quest that sees you suckering Nef Anyo into betting big on The Index, then making him regret his arrogance. Be sure you have a hard-hitting shotgun modded for Radiation damage to make the Index portions a breeze.

When you have finished The Glast Gambit quest, the real work begins. Nidus’ component blueprints can be gotten from Rotation C of the Infested Salvage mission at the Oestrus node, Eris. Rotation C is every fourth round, so this is quite the grind. Each component has an equal chance to drop on Rotation C:

  • Chassis – 14 percent
  • Systems – 14 percent
  • Neuroptics – 14 percent

During this mode, you need to keep three consoles active so that the Lotus can do some hacking. You need to collect Anitserum Charges that are dropped by dead enemies and bring them to Vaporizers located near the terminals. The Vaporizers create a bubble of clear space, and when it grows over the console, the Lotus will be able to access it.

When you are outside of the bubbles, the toxic environment will eat away at your Warframe and can end up killing you, so keep this in mind when choosing which Warframe you want to take to these missions.

We would advise playing these missions solo, as the hacking mechanic will cycle faster if you are on your own, cutting down on the amount of time you need to spend playing these missions.

Once you have all the blueprints, you can build Nidus in your Foundry using the following resources:

Chassis

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 6000 Polymer Bundle
  • 1400 Plastids
  • 5000 Nano Spores
  • 3 Neurodes

Neuroptics

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 10 Mutagen Samples
  • 1000 Plastids
  • 2600 Polymer Bundle
  • 3 Neural Sensors

Systems

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 6000 Nano Spores
  • 3500 Circuits
  • 14 Morphics
  • 6 Orokin Cells

Each component has a 12-hour build time, and they can build them at the same time. Once constructed, you can use them in conjunction with the primary Nidus blueprint to create the Warframe. Nidus has a three-day build time. You can bypass all build times by using Warframe’s premium currency, Platinum.

Make sure you have a spare Warframe slot available when you start the build.
