Harry Potter: Wizards Unite can be played with your friends. If you do, you get more XP for certain in-game activities. How To Add Friends In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite
To add friends in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, click on the image on the left side of the main screen that looks like two wizards standing beside each other. From there, you can see your Friend Code to give to other people and can enter their Friend Code to add them to your Friend List.
Friends will be able to see your Code Name in some regions of the map, such as the lobby of a Fortress. It will also show up when you leave a Dark Detector at an Inn. They will also be able to see your titles, House affiliation, current Profession, achievements, and Lifetime stats.
Finally, playing with friends provides what the game refers to as social benefits. This means you can get bonus Wizarding XP and Wizarding Challenge XP when you engage in Wizarding Challenges together.
