Something curious happens if you can’t pay your bills in GTA Online, which is usually when you don’t have any money in your pocket or at your bank. If the game can’t automatically take payments every day (48 minutes in real life), even if you haven’t been in your apartment, you don’t lose it or get locked out but water and power are shut off. This way you won’t be able to watch TV, use the radio or shower.
Moreover, if you can’t pay the mechanic, you won’t be able to get a new car from him because he won’t answer to your phone calls.
