Fire Emblem: Three Houses is packed full of side missions to do for the game’s large cast of characters. You’ll be making tea, getting into battles, and delivering letters for people. They are a great way to earn experience and gold, so you should do as many as you can. One such quest is for Catherine when you tells you that she wants a two-toned whetstone.
Catherine’s Request | Two-Toned Whetstone
You get this quest by talking to Catherine, although I believe you can get a very similar quest by talking to Shamir as well. They will tell you that they want a two-toned whetstone. This will involve a lot of finding items, then giving them to the right person. We have all the items you need to find, and who to give them to, listed below:
- Find the Crestological Mysteries book near Catherine and give it to Hanneman.
- Find the Tome of Comely Saints and give it to Manuela.
- Find the Fire Amulet and give it to Cyril. He will provide you with the Glowing Stone.
- Take the Glowing Stone to Mercedes, and she will give you the Path of Dawn.
- Take the Path of Dawn to Marianne, and she will give you Eye Drops.
- Take the Eye Drops to Linhardt, and he will give you the Two-Toned Whetstone.
- Finally, return the Two-Toned Whetstone to Catherine or Shamir, whoever gave you the quest.
And that’s it, the long chain of items and giftings you will need to do to get your hands on the Two-Toned Whetstone in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
