One of the more contentious issues about the previous Persona game was the idea of time limits of deadlines. These were moments in the game that forced players to decide between different actions, and the other actions that they did not choose would no longer be available after that point in the story. While it wasn’t really a punishing system, it was something that some players didn’t like.

Persona 5 Strikers doesn’t have these kinds of time limits, but it still has a mechanic you should be aware of. As the game progresses, you will move from location to location, losing access to the locations you leave behind.

This can mean you will no longer be able to access some shops, but the Sophia shop should be able to get you any items that you potentially leave behind, although normally at quite a markup.

There will also be Requests, special missions that you can do in each location, and if you move on without completing them, you can’t go back. The good news is that you can spend as long as you like in each location, making sure you get absolutely everything if that is what you want.

This means you can do every request, buy every shop item, explore every area, and speak with every NPC at your leisure before deciding to move on to progress the game, leading to a very relaxed RPG experience. This nicely plays off the game’s rather frantic combat, making for a nice contrast and some much-needed downtime between battles.
