The upcoming battle royale game set in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare universe is called Warzone. In it, 150 players will drop down into the massive map to compete to see who can be the last ones standing. You have the option to try out the traditional battle royale experience, or try out the Plunder game mode where the players with the highest amount of money at the end of the game are crowned the winners. While the download for the game is hefty, it’s a free-to-play game available for everyone.

Because it’s a free-to-play experience, can you expect to see a battle pass coming to the service? Almost certainly, and the battle pass tied to the game is connected to the main Modern Warfare game. It features a 100-level track players level up to gain access to a variety of cosmetic items for their profile and the characters in the game. Those who only have the Warzone experience will likely have the option to purchase it when they jump into the game.

It’s good to see that Warzone is featuring a connected battle pass experience with Modern Warfare, rather than a completely different one. Nearly every major live service game comes with a battle pass, such as Destiny 2, The Division 2, Fortnite, PUBG, and so many more. The battle pass experience appears to be working out exceptionally well for players who are eager to jump into these games, and Warzone is likely going to be the same. The cosmetic items will likely transfer over to the Warzone experience.

Warzone‘s battle pass connects to Modern Warfare, making it easier for those who play both games to keep with it.
