Can you replay story missions in Halo Infinite?

This feature is on the way.

The Halo games’ campaigns are rife with memorable missions that typically pack a good deal of replay value. In previous games, you could replay story missions at your leisure. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case in Halo Infinite — but that’s likely to change soon.

At the time of writing, you’re not able to replay the game’s campaign missions, but 343 has confirmed that the feature will arrive in the future. In fact, as of July 15, the developer has rolled out an early version of the feature to Halo Insiders via a network test, meaning that eligible testers can try it out through the end of the test period on August 1. Here’s how this feature works.

How to replay campaign missions in Halo Infinite

Firstly, it’s worth reiterating that this feature is presently only available to those participating in Halo Infinite’s latest test flight, which also includes a first look at the game’s co-op campaign. Additionally, as this is a feature currently being tested, it’s possible that elements of it might be changed when it actually launches; we’ll update this article if any steps are added/removed once it’s added in a future patch.

Once you’ve booted up the preview build and have loaded into the campaign, follow the below steps:

  • Open the TacMap (View/Select button on an Xbox controller).
  • Hover over a mission you’ve already completed, and hit the “Mission Options” shortcut (X on an Xbox controller). Under the mission description, you should see an option that says “Replay Mission.” Select this.
  • You’ll then be able to adjust the mission’s difficulty, as well as select which skulls you would like to have on during the mission. Once you’ve fine-tuned the settings to your liking, hit play, and the mission will start.

If you’re in the middle of another mission, you won’t lose progress if you decide to spontaneously replay a different one. Once you’ve finished replaying a mission, you’ll resume the mission you initially left from the furthest checkpoint you encountered.
