Keep in mind that this is a list of the best Dead Island 2 Slayers for single-player gameplay. We’ll be taking everything into account, from skills to playstyles to builds. We’ll also bring attention to the difficulty level of each slayer, so don’t fret if you’re worried about the game’s difficulty.

Amy

To put it simply, Amy is this game’s equivalent to hard mode. She’s especially tough on new players, and the ease at which zombies can overwhelm you can become a problem if you’re not familiar with the stages in Dead Island 2. That being said, she is a speedy one, so if you like to zip around while peppering zombies with light, quick attacks solo, you may be on to something. This is useful for solo players, as others will just get in the way of what you’re trying to do, which is to isolate and dominate enemies. For everyone else, perhaps you’re better off looking elsewhere.

Ryan

Ryan is arguably the best choice for gamers who are completely new to zombie games in general. His great toughness, along with the ability to block attacks instead of dodging, is critical if you’re not good at timing. Given that he isn’t very mobile, you might find yourself fighting your way out of a situation instead of fleeing. Overall, a great slayer, and funny to boot.

Jacob

As sort of the main marketed slayer of the Dead Island 2 group, Jacob has solidified himself as an all-around useful choice for solo players. His greatest strength, which is his sizable health pool, can make up for his one weakness in resilience because he is generally good at everything that matters. His innate skills are spectacular, and they’re super useful in crowded places with their damage buff. If you’re used to first-person action games but new to the series, we recommend giving Jacob a try for solo players.
