When picking out the best natures for Gimmighoul and Gholdengo, I feel you can go with Modest or Quiet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These stats lean into these Pokemon’s series of balanced stats, giving them the chance to focus on their Special Attacks, which will be your priority when you use them in battle.

Beyond Gholdengo’s Special Attack stat, the other stats are not too special. It has an 87 HP, 91 Special Defense, 84 Speed, 95 Defense, and, its lowest stat, a 60 Attack. Needless to say, because of Gholdengo’s low Attack stat, Special Attack will be your priority, and you want to boost this as much as possible, which is why Modest and Quiet natures in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are your best options. Modest will reduce Gholdengo’s already low Attack stat further, but boosts is Special Attack. Quiet also boosts Special Attack, but it lowers its Speed, but that might not be your preference.

Gholdengo is useful in a battle because it’s a Steel and Ghost-type Pokemon. It makes it more difficult to hit as it’s only weak against Fire, Ground, Ghost, and Dark-type moves. Beyond that, it is immune to Normal, Fighting, and Poison-type attacks and resistant to Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy-type moves, making it a solid combatant in nearly any battle, especially to offset your opponent in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. You do need to make sure you try protecting Gholdengo, because if it’s weak to an opponent’s attacks, it won’t last long.
