What Is Apex Legends Rated?

It must be a very interesting week if you are a parent of a young gamer. Perhaps you got very used to hearing about Fortnite, various dances, and the need for Back Bling. Now it is all Apex Legends, and talk of sweet Kaber kills. With the game being freely available online, there are potentially a lot of people who are curious about what ratings the game has received, and if it is suitable for a younger audience.
What Is Apex Legends Rated
Apex Legends has been given an ESRB Rating of T for Teens. This means that the ESRB feels the game is suitable for people who are 13 years old and up. The PEGI Rating for the game is 16, meaning that they feel the game is suitable for people who are 16 years old and up. The three year difference is actually pretty substantial when you consider we are talking about young, and potentially impressionable, minds.
The ESRB has indicated that they gave the game a Teen rating for blood and violence, and took care to highlight the game includes player interaction and in-game purchases. Meanwhile, PEGI have advised that “This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features sustained depictions of violence towards human characters and moderate violence.”
The only real way to know if Apex Legends is something you don’t mind your child spending time on is to watch some gameplay. Going to either Twitch or Youtube and watching a few minutes of the game will give you all the knowledge you need to make your decision.
