But where is Charmander in Pokemon Let’s Go? That’s the question we’ve answered here, and there are two ways to get everyone’s favorite Fire-type starter. We’ve already covered Bulbasaur who is the first one of the three you can obtain, but if you’re looking to get Charmander on your Pokemon Let’s Go journey too, then heed these words.

If you want to know where to find Charmander in Pokemon Let’s Go, you want to ensure you’ve reached Pewter City and beaten Brock in the Pewter City Gym. From there, head east down Route 3 and Route 4. You can find Charmander in the wild here, along with inside Rock Tunnel. Like we explained in the Bulbasaur guide, you’re going to want to either drop a Lure or build up a hefty Catch Combo to make the cute pocket monster spawn.

How to get Charmander in Pokemon Let’s Go – Route 24

Like with the Bulbasaur you can obtain from the woman in Cerulean City, there’s also a Charmander you can get from an NPC. Head north of Cerulean City up Nugget Bridge and to the north-west corner. There’s a chap standing at the bottom of the hills with his Charmander next to him. He’ll give it to you as long as you’ve caught a total of 50 Pokemon or more. That doesn’t have to be 50 unique Pokemon, just 50 in total. By this point, if you were building up your Catch Combo for Bulbasaur earlier and if you’ve been shiny hunting, you’ll likely be way past that so it’ll be no problem.

As everyone knows, Charmander evolves into Charizard who is one of the most powerful and popular Pokemon from the original 151. Get your hands on Charmander early, and before long, Charizard will be one of your best buds along with Venusaur and Blastoise.

By the way, have you obtained Mew yet? You can get it from the very start of the game!
