The Drifter’s Overcoat is available very early in Remnant: From The Ashes, and will give you a much-needed boost to your Stamina. Stamina is essential in the early game because running out of stamina and being unable to sprint, or dodge normally means death.
Remnant: From The Ashes – Where To Get The Drifter’s Overcoat
After you play through the first part of the game and wake up in Ward 13, you will be able to activate the stone and can travel to the Founder’s Hideout. From there, head upstairs until you reach a room with the Ward 13 key on the desk. Behind the desk, to the left, you will see a bookcase against the wall. Smash the bookcase to open up a gap in the wall you can crouch to get through.
From there, head up the stairs, and you will come to a hidden room. On the desk, you will find the Founder’s Journal, and in the back of the room, you will find the Drifter’s Overcoat and the Drifter’s Trousers. There should also be some Iron and Scraps in the room if you search for them.
The Drifter’s Overcoat will give you a reduction in your Stamina usage, which will stack if you wear the Drifter’s Trousers as well. And that’s it, the first secret in the game and a handy first item to find.
