Faster than light.

Nexomon: Extinction is an old-school creature collector. There is a lot of walking around and exploring with no signposts to tell you where to go and what to do. Area maps, while not huge, are dense, and can feel quite separated from each other. Fortunately, there is a way to fast travel in the game, although it is not unlocked from the very beginning.

When you first start, you will need to explore the opening areas on foot including a good stroll around a particularly icy area. There, you will run into a major threat, and when that resolves itself some members of the Tamers Guild will give you an unofficial promotion.

Despite being a Bronze Tamer, you will be allowed to use the Warpstones to fast travel from place to place. The main catch is that you can’t just zip around to anywhere you want. You can only travel to Warpstones that have already been activated, so your initial exploration of every area will need to be on foot.

When you find a Warpstone, interact with it to activate it, and should you wish to fast travel, interact with it again to bring up a list of areas that you have already unlocked. It is important to activate each Warpstone as you find them, or else you will have no convenient way to backtrack to areas you have already been.

Each major area will have at least one Warpstone, often located in a major town in the area. The only real issue is that they will always drop you off at the Warpstone, and you will need to walk the rest of the way to the your destination. As such, it is a good idea to build up a good knowledge of each area, so you can quickly get to where you need to be when you need to do some backtracking.
