Every fighter perk in UFC 4

Fighter perks, which were in the last installment of the UFC franchise, UFC 3, are returning in UFC 4. Perks are special abilities that give fighters an in-game boost during fights, which could be a potential game-changer for UFC 4 players.

There are a large assortment of perks available to players in UFC 4, but before we get into the list, let’s briefly cover perks in Career Mode. When starting your character’s career in UFC 4, each fighter will receive a special perk based on the fighting style chosen for your fighter. There are five different fighting types, meaning that there are five special perks available to you upon creating your character. Here are those five perks:

Crazy Legs

  • Style – Kickboxer
  • Ability – Roundhouse and switch kicks are faster and more accurate

Laser Focus

  • Style – Boxer
  • Ability – Straight, superman, and spinning punches are faster and more accurate

Marathoner

  • Style – Balanced
  • Ability – Actions consume less stamina while moving

Grinder

  • Style – Wrestler
  • Ability – Uses less stamina when grappling on the feet

Crafty

  • Style – Jiu-Jitsu
  • Ability – Improved submission defense in bottom positions

Keep in mind that you will only have one of these perks at the start of the game. The perks mentioned above are also available in other UFC 4 game modes. In addition to the five perks above, there are a slew of others available in UFC 4. Here’s a look at some of those perks:

Wake Up Call

  • Ability – Recovers from stuns and knockdowns more quickly

Skirmisher

  • Ability – Faster movement when working backwards

Frontal Assault

  • Ability – Front and side kicks are faster and more accurate

Slippery

  • Ability – Denies, escapes, and counters more easily when grappling on the feet

Force of Nature

  • Ability – Incoming damage is less effective when you have more health than the opponent

Fast Hands

  • Ability – Hooks, uppercuts, and overhands are faster and more accurate

Bulldog

  • Ability – Blocks more effectively when standing still or moving forwards

Pay to Miss

  • Ability – Sways while standing still or moving forwards evade more effectively

To Your Feet

  • Ability – Able to get up from the ground more easily

Out the Gates

  • Ability – Strikes consume less stamina during Rounds 1 & 2

Taekwondo

  • Ability – Spin kicks are faster and more accurate

Weathering Storms

  • Ability – Blocks more effectively when moving backwards or sideways

Carved of Wood

  • Ability – Incoming damage is less effective when you have less health than the opponent

Higher Altitude

  • Ability – Strikes consume less stamina during Rounds 3, 4, and 5

Nightmare

  • Ability – Boosts a fighter’s Grapple Defense whenever they are in a bottom ground position

Untouchable

  • Ability – Sways while moving backwards or sideways evade more effectively

Recharger

  • Ability – Recovers more health between rounds

Work House

  • Ability – Uses less stamina when grappling on the ground

Predator

  • Ability – Faster movement when advancing or moving sideways

Steel Checks

  • Ability – Checked leg kicks reflect more damage

Razor Wire

  • Ability – Standing knees and elbows are faster and more accurate

Like Glue

  • Ability – Initiates, advances and counters more easily when grappling on the feet

Wrestle Clinic

  • Ability – Boosts a fighter’s Grapple Defense whenever they are in a ground position

Slam Boost

  • Ability – Improved submission defense in top positions

No Cigar

  • Ability – Improved submission defense in top positions

Keep in mind that the perks listed in this article are the abilities that are in the early edition of UFC 4, which was made available to EA Game Changers. If any perks are added or removed throughout the life cycle of UFC 4, we will update this article to reflect those changes.
